ANISA BELLY DANCE
Anisa(Anita Meyer) has been dancing for 20 years and teaching for 15 in London and Kent. She trained with Maureen O’Farrell (now known as Sara Farouk) in London , and was a founder member of the performing troupe “Benat al Medina”. She is also a drama worker and performing arts lecturer and has been able to incorporate the teaching of belly dance into almost every job she has held , including work in arts centres, schools, colleges, centres for people with disabilities ,secure units and probation day centres. Her performing experience has included festivals and benefits, touring with bands, cabarets, restaurants, weddings, parties and belly dance performances at The Union Chapel, The Royal Festival Hall and most recently Planet Egypt at Darbuka. She also worked as a compere for the belly dance competitions and evening events at the 2006 “Ahalan Wa Sahalan” Festival of Oriental Dance in Cairo.
